BUILDEX - Steel Frame Decking Screws, Self Drilling 10g x 47mm, Wing tip, Countersunk Ribbed Head 304SS SQ2 Drive - Box of 500

Buildex® Dec-King® is a stainless steel self drilling decking screw for fastening timber decking boards (12mm-22mm thick) to steel joists between 1.2mm and 2.4mm thick and HRS 1.5mm to 3.0mm thick.

Wings assist in producing a clearance hole in timber. 

Wings break off once the screw starts to drill through the metal.

• Decking to metal joists
• Timber to metal frame
• Decking, fences, chipboard, composite panels, timber floors
• Small head for eaisier embedment of the head into the timber or board.
• Ideal for corrosive conditions

Installation

1. Use a number 2 Square Driver Bit.
2. Use a mains powered or cordless screw driver with a drive speed of 3,000 RPM maximum.
3. Fit the driver bit into the screw and place at the fastening position.
4. Apply consistently firm pressure (end load) to the screw driver until the screw has fastened.
